About us

The Malawian National Youth in Politics (MNYIP) is a non-governmental organization founded in 2020. Its primary mission is to empower young people in Malawi by providing them with the necessary skills and support to participate actively in political leadership. The organization focuses on training programs, advocacy workshops and providing support for young political candidates. MNYIP aims to address the underrepresentation of youth and women in politics, thereby fostering a more inclusive political environment in Malawi.

Our Project

We are currently running a project titled: Empowering Mzuzu Youth in Political leadership where we will see 15 aspiring youth leaders below 35 being given necessary skills to navigate Malawian politics and give them an edge to compete favourably in the 2025 general election. This project is under Women and Youth in Democracy, supported by Kofi Annan Foundation, Oslo Centre and Westmnister for Democracy powered by the European Union
